Ocala, Florida, May 02/Internet --- Antennas for Communications (AFC) announced today that it has completed its subcontract for COCESNA for the manufacture and installation support of two 35-ft. (10.7-m) diameter 3-layer sandwich dielectric radomes. The radomes are used in Costa Rica and Guatemala as part of the Central American air-traffic control radar upgrade. The 3-layer sandwich radomes were specifically designed to protect the L-band frequency air-traffic control radars from the extreme weather characteristics of the region.
